Mixed Media Friendly Plastic Classes at Stamping Details near San Diego

A Kindred Spirit (Dimensional Mixed-Media Assemblage)with Leslie Altman

Alter a 5" x 7" canvas panel (provided) with mixed-media including collage imagery, metallic paints, silk florals/foliage, Friendly Plastic, and textural impressions. Additional techniques include creating your own templates and designing unique figurative elements and "Royal" adornments!
Please bring your basic craft kit with: scissors, pencil, eraser, glue stick, craft heat gun, see-through ruler, X-Acto knife and cutting mat, stamp cleaner, rubber gloves (latex or vinyl), and assorted gel pens.
Please also bring: four 7" strips of Friendly Plastic (Gold/Black), four 7" strips of Friendly Plastic (Silver/Black), Krylon Gold Leafing pen, watercolor pencil set (Kimberly General or similar), your favorite beads, micro-beads, charms, and findings.
Leslie will be supplying 5" x 7" canvas panels and black backing boards, two additional 7" strips of Friendly Plastic for each student, collage imagery (as shown in sample), laminated and clay faces, silk florals/foliage wallpaper, Lumiere Halo Blue/Gold, Walnut Ink, hot glue guns/glue sticks, wooden friller tools, needle tools, parchment paper, Ranger embossing reinking fluid, texturizing mats, and tools needed to complete projects.
About Leslie AltmanLeslie Altman is a mixed-media artist who works primarily in water-based media, assemblage, and collage. She is a frequent contributor to Somerset Studios and Belle Armoire magazines.
Besides producing her art that has been exhibited nationally and won numerous awards, teaching, and contributing art and articles for publication, Leslie has also created a line of rubber stamps and a line of jewelry. In 2001 ATT Cable Access TV aired a half hour interview and demonstration highlighting her art career and works.
Classes have a limited enrollment to ensure comfort, maximum enjoyment and individualized instruction.
Payment at time of registration reserves your spot and is required.

Store Cancellation: Classes with fewer than 2-3 students will be cancelled after consultation with the instructor. A full refund will be given.
Student Cancellation: A refund will be available with 24-hour notice of cancellation. This gives the instructor enough time to modify the preparation kits accordingly. No refund when there is less than 24-hour notification; student will receive the class kit/instructor notes if applicable.
Basic Class Kit: we recommend you bring adhesive, scissors, tweezers, X-Acto knife with fresh blade, pencil, black inkpad and personal paper cutter to all classes if you have these items. A stylus and light box is recommended for dry embossing classes if you have them. A wet embossing heat tool is recommended for embossing with powders.
Class attendees receive 10% off non-sale product purchases on the day of the class. Class fees and gift certificates excluded.
